Enhance cyber resilience

How much downtime can your business withstand?

Anxiety you didn’t
know you had

Like it or not, your organisation is at risk. Cyber criminals are doing their best to compromise business systems and internal threats (be they accidental or not) are surprisingly on the rise. According to a recent Government survey, two in five UK-based businesses have identified a breach within the last twelve months. That means your company will likely suffer a breach of some description within the next three years. Although there are certain steps you can take to minimise this risk, it’s time business leaders started assuming that they will, at some point, suffer a breach.

From backup to
business continuity

It’s uncommon for companies to be lacking a basic backup plan, allowing the recovery of lost files when disaster strikes. However, rarely does backup planning take into account the disruption of business-critical functions both during and in the aftermath of a breach. The question then becomes: How much downtime can your organisation withstand?  More and more leaders are beginning to appreciate that possible downtime is a reality they want to avoid, which is where business continuity solutions like Disaster Recovery as a Service come in (often referred to as DRaaS).

BACKUP DOESN'T PREVENT DOWNTIME

DRaaS PREVENTS SYSTEM DOWNTIME

Benefits of
disaster recovery

Recovery Time
Objective (RTO)

Commonly abbreviated to RTO, Recovery Time Objective is the maximum acceptable time duration for the restoration of business processes following a disaster.

Recovery Point
Objective (RPO)

Commonly abbreviated to RPO, Recovery Point Objective is the maximum acceptable time duration, between the last backup and a disaster, in which data could be lost.

RTO and RPO together make up an Overall Recovery Goal.
